Vehicle Auction

Aurora’s weekly auctions are held on Saturdays and run by Grubstake Auctions. Lists and complete auction rules are available by Wednesday at www.grubstakeauction.com.
Pictures are available online by Thursday.

Most auction vehicles are Municipal impounds left more than 30 days after clearance from the City Attorney’s Office.* Forfeited Municipal impound vehicles are included on the first Saturday of each month.

Vehicles are sold as is on a cash-only basis. Pre-auction viewings are held every Friday from noon to 4:00PM. During the viewing you may inspect the vehicles and start those that have keys. Bidder cards are required to participate in the auction and can be purchased for $10.00 per auction or $25.00 for the calendar year. Gates open at 10:00am, the auction starts at 11:00am.

For our customers’ safety during the viewing and auctions, we have 2 guards as well as video surveillance.

*Vehicles are never set for auction without notification by registered letter to the DMV owner of record as specified by Title 28 of the Alaska Statutes.
